Day 1 Arrive in Lucerne

Travel by rail from any Swiss border or from Zurich/Geneva airport or rail station to Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne with bed and breakfast.

Day 2 Lucerne - Fluelen - Lugano

Start the day with a cruise to Fluelen on the William Tell paddle steamer. A three-course lunch is served on board in the first-class restaurant. Continue the journey by rail to Lugano through the Gotthard Tunnel, in the first-class panoramic car. Overnight in Lugano with bed and breakfast.

Day 3 Lugano

Enjoy the day sightseeing in Lugano. The Mediterranean atmosphere will entice you to stroll along the lakeside promenade or go up the Monte Bre or San Salvatore. Overnight in Lugano with bed and breakfast.

Day 4 Lugano - Tirano - St. Moritz

After breakfast, travel on the Bernina Express to the Italian village of Tirano. From here, board the train which takes you from palm trees of Lugano, across the regions of the eternal snow to St. Moritz. Overnight in St. Moritz with bed and breakfast.

Day 5 St. Moritz

A day of leisure in St. Moritz - maybe some shopping or the walking trails. The choice of activities in this cosmopolitan town is endless. Overnight in St. Moritz with bed and breakfast.

Day 6 St. Moritz - Zermatt

Travel on board the famous Glacier Express to Zermatt. A two-course lunch is served on the train. Overnight in Zermatt with bed and breakfast.

Day 7 Zermatt

Enjoy the day in Zermatt. Explore the shops in one of the many tiny cobblestoned alleys for that unique gift, or maybe the many peaks which surround Zermatt beckon... you can travel on the cogwheel railway up the Gornergrat and experience superb views. Overnight in Zermatt with bed and breakfast.

Day 8 Zermatt - Swiss Border

After a leisurely breakfast, transfer from Zermatt by rail to any Swiss border or airport. Alternatively, you may choose to extend your stay in Switzerland.
