Itinerary:

Day 1

Travel by rail from any Swiss border or Zurich/Geneva airport or rail station to Grindelwald or Wengen. Overnight stay in either village with bed and breakfast.

Day 2

After breakfast, travel by train to the Kleine Scheidegg. Here you will be confronted with the famous North Wall of the Eiger. Continue on the Jungfrau Railway to the top of Jungfraujoch (3454m). Views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest in the Alps, await. Return by train to Grindelwald or Wengen. Overnight with bed and breakfast in either Grindelwald or Wengen.

Day 3

Today, choose between travelling through the Bernese Oberland and Lotschberg to Brig, continuing through the Centovalli in Italy to Lugano or Locarno, or via Lucerne through the Gotthard region to Lugano or Locarno. Overnight with bed and breakfast in Lugano or Locarno.

Day 4

Do as you please today in Lugano or Locarno. Both town are breathtaking in their beauty. Spend the day exploring. Overnight with bed and breakfast in either Lugano or Locarno.

Day 5

After breakfast, travel from Lugano or Locarno by rail to any Swiss border or to Zurich/Geneva airport or rail station. Alternatively, you may choose to extend your stay in Switzerland.
