Unlimited travel on the national rail networks of any 3, 4 or 5 adjoining Eurail countries that are connected by train or ship (see explanation below).
The 18 participating Eurail Select countries are: Austria; Belgium, Denmark; Finland; France; Germany; Greece; Hungary; Italy; Luxembourg; Netherlands; Norway; Portugal; Republic of Ireland; Romania; Spain; Sweden; Switzerland. ( Liechtenstein and Monaco are considered part of Austria and France respectively).
Validity : 5, 6, 8, 10 or 15 days within 2 months. Note: 15 day pass only available for 5 country pass .
Travel days may be used consecutively or non-consecutively.
1 st Class ( Youth Pass 2 nd class only).
Saverpass : valid for 2-5 people travelling together at all times. Approx. 15% reduction off regular price.
Youth Pass : under 26 years of age.
Children 4-11yrs inclusive : half adult fare.
Children under 4yrs : free when sharing a paying passenger's seat/ bed.
What are adjoining countries?
The chosen countries must be bordering, and be linked by a direct (not through another country) train or shipping line which is part of the existing Eurail offer (refer to the Eurail Sales Manual for participating shipping lines and Bonus shipping lines).
E.g. France , Benelux * and Germany are three adjoining countries.
Norway and Denmark are connected by the Color Line Boat connection Hirtshals- Kristiansand. You can add one more connecting country to your Selectpass, like Sweden or Germany .
Important! Norway and Finland are not considered as adjoining countries. They have a joint border, but to get by train from Norway to Finland you have to pass through Sweden .
*Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourg are considered as one country called “ Benelux ”.
BENEFITS
Access to Premier trains (high speed trains ) :-
Access to special trains : IC (InterCity trains), EC (EuroCity trains), ICE (German high speed train).
Additional compulsory reservation fees on: TGV (French high-speed train), Swiss Panoramic Trains (Bernina Express; Glacier Express; Golden Pass ; William Tell Express), E* Italia (high quality train on the routes connecting the main Italian cities), Cisalpino (Geneve-Lausanne-Brig-Milano-Venezia / Basel-Bern-Brig-Milano / Stuttgart-Zuerich-Lugano-Milano / Zuerich-Lugano-Milano-Firenze).
Reservation fees are an additional charge and are not inclusive in the cost of the pass.
Passholder Fares are only valid if the entire journey is covered by the pass i.e. all countries that the train transits through must be included on the Eurail Select Pass. Passes must be validated prior to boarding the first train and travel must be completed by midnight on the last day of validity of the pass. On some trains, a Passholder Fare may necessitate the use of one travel day on the pass.
BONUSES
Ferry crossings between :
Greece & Italy : boats crossing Brindis-Patras (operated by Blue Star Line & HML) and Ancona-Patras; Bari-Igoumenitsa; Bari-Patras; Ancona-Igoumenitsa (operated by Super Fast Ferries) are included when the pass is valid for travel in Italy and Greece . A summer surcharge must be paid from June 1- to September 30. Reservations are recommended in July and August.
Finland & Sweden : boats crossing Helsinki-Mariehamn-Stockholm; Turku-Mariehamn-Stockholm; Vasa-Umea (operated by Silja Line) are included when the pass is valid for travel in Finland and Sweden . Reservations are recommended from June to August.
Finland & Germany : boats crossing Rostock-Helsinki are included when the pass is valid for travel in Finland and Germany .

CONDITIONS OF USE
Residents of Europe , the United Kingdom , Turkey , Morocco , Algeria , Tunisia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (former Soviet Union ) are not eligible to purchase or use a Eurail Select Pass.
Certain trains may transit through a country not covered by the pass. In that case an additional ticket must be purchased.
Passholder fares for Premier trains are not applicable if the train is transiting through a country not covered by the Eurail Select Pass.
Passes must be validated prior to first train journey or first use of a travel bonus.
Passes must be validated within 6 months of issue date.
All parties must be present when validating a Eurail Select Saverpass.
7:00pm rule: if a direct overnight train starts after 7:00pm on a validated Eurail Pass , the passholder must enter the next day's date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.
Reservation fees are an additional charge and are not inclusive in the cost of the pass.
All passes are subject to a non-refundable Pass Issuance Fee of AUD10 per pass.

REFUNDS
Passes must be presented for refund unused and not validated.
A 30% cancellation fee plus AUD30 applies to totally unused passes returned within one year of issuing date.
No partial refunds.
Eurail Select Passes are not refundable and cannot be reissued if lost or stolen.
