UEFA 2008
CITY 1ST MATCH DAYS 2ND MATCH DAYS 3RD MATCH DAYS
On 7 June 2008, at exactly 6:00 p.m., the UEFA EURO 2008™ will kick
off in Basel, and – 31 games later – on 29 June 2008, the new European
champion will be crowned after the final round in Vienna. The co-hosts
Austria and Switzerland will be entirely dedicated to football for 23 days.
More than one million spectators are expected to fill the stadiums of the
eight venues Vienna: Klagenfurt, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Zürich, Basel, Berne
and Geneva, of whom around 600,000 will come from aboard. This event
is the world’s third largest sports event after the FIFA World Cup and the
Olympic Summer Games.
Adjustments to touring and accommodation programs
Accommodation and services will be constrained during this period
and certain operations will either be severely curtailed or cancelled
altogether. We advise that it is highly unlikely that we can book any
tours in calendar June 2008 .
